BRIDGING TRADITIONS: ASIA, ARIZONA, AND THE ARTS

Project Description: This 2 year audience development project was designed to engage Asian Pacific/American audiences in Phoenix's Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Indigenous Hawaiian, and Korean communities. See Advisory Committee and Project Partners.

Activities: Artist residencies, exhibitions, and performances by Halau O'Kekuhi (Hilo, Hawaii), SamulNori (Korea), Lane Nishikawa (San Francisco, Ca), HT Chen and Dancers (New York, NY), Khac Chi Ensemble (Vancouver, Canada), and Great Leap (Los Angeles, CA).

Funded by: Arizona State University, The Lila Wallace Reader’s Digest Foundation, and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation through the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Arts Partners program.
